From a gap year of hiking to the secret life of a barbecue judge, Keuka College’s Wolf Tales speaker series returns this fall with an eclectic and interesting roundup of stories.
The informal talks, which are held Tuesdays from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the College’s Writing Center in Room 107 of Hegeman Hall, are free and open to students, faculty, and staff.
September’s lineup features:
Sept. 6: “Gap Year: Taking the Road Less Traveled”
Mental Health Counselor Matt Kois talks about the year he spent camping and hiking in national parks.
Sept. 13: “My Secret Life as a Barbecue Judge”
Assistant Professor of Business Administration Mark McNaney will share the secrets behind judging a barbecue competition – and what makes the difference between a good barbecue and a great one.
Sept. 20: “Procrastination Nation: Work/Life Balance and ADHD”
Assistant Professor of English Dr. Steve Kapica will discuss his later-in-life ADHD diagnosis and the experiences that have come with it.
Sept. 27: “A Little Bit of Martial and a Whole Lot of Art”
Dean of Experiential Learning & Career Engagement Ann Emo shares the thinking behind the movements in the world of Tae Kwon Do.
