Keuka College, the largest private employer in Yates County, has retained a local firm to provide maintenance, grounds, and housekeeping services.
Penn Yan-based Finger Lakes Premier Properties (FLPP) will assume oversight of campus maintenance and housekeeping beginning Feb. 3, replacing Sodexo Campus Services of Maryland.
“As one of our region’s largest fiscal engines, it’s a priority for us to keep our dollars in and around Yates County whenever possible,” said Keuka College Interim President Amy Storey. “Aside from receiving higher-quality facilities management services at a reduced rate, Keuka College’s $112-plus million regional economic impact will increase because we are keeping our business local.”
The current workforce will remain largely in place. FLPP has agreed to take on all of the College’s existing housekeeping, maintenance, and grounds staff with the exception of those who will become full-time Keuka College employees, those seeking to transfer to another Sodexo site, or those who are retiring.
In signing on with Keuka College, FLPP will service a nearly 290-acre campus that hosts more than 1,100 students, approximately 300 employees, and over 5,000 summer conference guests.

FLPP, which also has offices in Canandaigua, is a property management company with a portfolio that includes more than 280 luxury vacation rentals, real estate brokerage services on each of the Finger Lakes, and the Best Western Plus Vineyard Inn & Suites in Penn Yan.
